Our driver risk assessments are an alternative to the MiDAS Course. These are popular with some establishments because the staff members only have to be present for their allotted time (typically 1hr, 1.5 hours or 2 hours.

​​What to expect from a 5 CMDT Driver Assessment:

  1. Meet and greet the driver. Check their licence to confirm their licence status for the vehicle they will be driving.

  2. Go through a thorough vehicle walk round check and complete paperwork

  3. Driver follows a pre-determined route and given directions from the  trainer/assessor

  4. The Assessment has at least 1 reversing exercise and an emergency stop

  5. At the end of the assessment, driver is given a risk level of either LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH

  6. A report & certificate is sent to the driver and drivers’ manager

Driving Lesson

Objectives for the Driver Risk Assessment are that Drivers will:

  • Be assessed to ensure their driving skills are of an acceptable standard

  • Be given help where necessary to improve their minibus driving skills

  • Be aware of the legal, practical and safety issues surrounding minibus driving

  • Receive a report and certificate per driver
